Back on July 13, 2020, we reported that Classic Legends is working on an electric Jawa motorcycle and it is expected to make world debut by the end of the year 2021 or in early 2022. Sreejith Krishnan, one of the renowned rendering artists, has created high-resolution and detailed digital renderings of the upcoming motorcycle to give the audience a quick glimpse of the all-electric Jawa.
As one can judge from the rendered images, the brand’s all-electric bike is expected to retain the retro looks of the current Jawa lineup. Based on the standard/classic model of Jawa, the rendered images feature a big battery box in place of the 293cc single-cylinder engine. It is being reported that Classic Legends will localize the upcoming electric bike to the maximum level so as to price it competitively.
In addition to that, the electric version of the motorcycle will be technically more sound and is expected to come equipped with an all-digital instrument console and an all-LED headlight. Here are the rendered images of the electric Jawa motorcycle:
In one of the recent updates, Jawa has officially revealed the complete technical specifications of the Jawa Standard and the Jawa Forty Two. Mechanically, the BS6-compliant models are powered by the same 293cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, DOHC engine which now generates 26.51 PS of maximum power and 27.05 Nm of peak torque.
In comparison, the BS4 model was good for 27.37 PS (27 BHP) of power and 28 Nm of torque. So the power has dropped by 0.86 PS and the torque has been dropped by 0.95 Nm. Here is the colour-wise price list for the BS6 Jawa Standard and Jawa 42:
