Jawa will close the online bookings for both the motorcycles in India from the midnight of December 25, 2018. They have cleared the fact through an official press release that both Jawa 300 and Forty-Two are sold out till September 2019 in accordance with their planned motorcycle production plans. Interested buyers can register with them and pay INR 5000 as the booking fee today to get the delivery by September 2019 or they will need to visit the dealership from Christmas onwards to book a motorcycle.
As only 10 dealers are operational in India till date, the speed of bookings will be next to nothing in the next few weeks. The deliveries will start in a phased manner and those booking today can expect a waiting period of 9 months for sure. The step is practically not feasible for new riders while those looking for an upgrade can still manage to wait for that long period. As mentioned by the brand, the amount paid for the online booking is completely refundable, but maybe before some given date on the receipt.
Above mentioned prices are ex-showroom Delhi
DECEMBER 24th, 2018 | DELHI, INDIA – An overwhelming response to bookings for Jawa Motorcycles has ensured online bookings close effective midnight 25th December.
Speaking about this unprecedented development, Anupam Thareja, Co-Founder, Classic Legends Pvt Ltd. said, “With such a tremendous response, it is my duty to inform the customers that we are sold out till September 2019 based on the current online bookings. Authenticity and honesty have been the hallmark of the brand. With such a large booking order, Jawa believes it is only fair to announce the waiting period for those with confirmed bookings. The current waiting period for online bookings already extends till September 2019 however the deliveries will start from March 2019 as per the booking sequence.”
The company will soon send out a communication directly informing every customer about their delivery timeline. We will work on ramping up our production to reduce the waiting period, but the quality is paramount for us and we request patience and understanding from Jawa fans. The wait we promise will be worth it,” adds Anupam.
Jawa Motorcycles is now focussing on its retail experience and continuing with the planned roll-out of 100+ dealerships that are on schedule to be opened across the country by 15th February 2019.
Speaking on the network strategy, Anupam added, “Given the continued demand for bookings, all dealerships will be open for test rides and we would encourage our buyers to come and experience the Jawas and build a relationship with us. While the dealerships will continue to take bookings for deliveries beyond September, we believe it was our responsibility to transparently set delivery expectations for bookings done at dealerships. We invite customers to walk into our showrooms for further bookings.”
The company has already launched 10 dealerships across Pune (2), Bangalore (3) and Delhi (5).
