According to recent reports, the deliveries of Jawa Perak Bobber which were all-set to commence on April 2, 2020, have been indefinitely delayed by the brand considering the ongoing coronavirus pandemic across India. The brand is not yet sure when the new delivery dates will be announced to the customers. According to Jawa officials, the recent pandemic scare and the resulting lockdown has caused the brand to stop the production of its motorcycle range.
In addition to this, the brand also confirmed that their supply chain of multiple products is indirectly dependent on the Chinese manufacturers which have been indefinitely disrupted with the recent coronavirus scare that has shaken every industry around the world. The production schedule of the motorcycle due to the halting of operations at every supplier company as well as spare parts manufacturers have hit the Classic Legends by a great deal.
The Jawa Perak Bobber was launched back in November 2019 while the brand had commenced the bookings in January 2020 and the deliveries were planned to start at a faster pace from April 2, 2020. Classic Legends have further promised that the brand will be catering to an increase in production at its Pithampur plant once the COVID-19 situation is tackled in the country.
One can expect the plant to churn out 10,000 motorcycles per month, which is a ray of hope for the Jawa enthusiasts who are currently waiting to get their hands on their dream motorcycles.
