The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 650 has been released in India, with a price tag of Rs. 7.12 lakhs (ex-showroom). It now costs Rs. 51,000 more than the previous model.
The bike’s appearance and mechanicals remain unchanged, but new features are available. The most noticeable change is the addition of KTRC.
This traction control system has two operating modes: Mode 1 and Mode 2. Mode 1 is the least intrusive and focuses on performance. When excessive wheel spin is detected, Mode 2 takes over. It also reduces engine output to allow the engine to regain grip. It is useful on slick pavement or bad roads. The system can also be turned completely off.
The same 649cc parallel-twin engine powers the motorcycle. This 650cc engine produces a max power of 68 HP at 8000 RPM and a peak torque of 64 Nm at 6700 RPM. This engine is coupled to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.
Other features of the bike include 4.3-inch TFT colour instrumentation, smartphone connectivity via the Rideology app, twin LED headlamps, and Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres.
Bookings for the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 650 have begun at all authorised dealerships. The updated bike will be available in showrooms soon, with deliveries beginning in a few days.
