Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R Launch Delayed: The launch of the much-anticipated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R that was expected to take place in Indonesia on April 4 at the Kawasaki Bike Week 2020 has now been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic across the world. The brand has officially decided to postpone the launch of the sports machine since the local authorities have announced a clear “No” on mass gatherings everywhere in the world.
Michael Chandra Tanadhi, Deputy Head, Sales & Promotion Kawasaki has officially announced to a news channel that there has been no new official date decided for the launch of the Ninja ZX-25R though the authorities are still discussing the possible solutions.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R was to be launched in the Indonesian markets first followed by other countries. The brand has been capable of successfully making it one of the most anticipated motorcycles by revealing a host of specifications of the sports machine over its social media platforms from the past few months.
To jog your memory, the upcoming Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is a 250cc motorcycle that is capable of redlining at 17,000 rpm, a first for a sports bike in this segment. Equipped with a 249cc in-line 4-cylinder engine, the motorcycle is expected to churn out a maximum power of 55-60HP.
The brand has equipped the motorcycle with an LED headlight and taillight set up in addition to offering various noteworthy features like the quick shifter, traction control, semi-digital instrument panel with a gear shift indicator, ABS and more.
The brand is expected to launch the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R in the Indonesian markets at a price tag of around IDR 64 million (INR 3.32 lakh) though the local assembly might further reduce it in the future. Once launched in the market, the Ninja ZX-25R will compete against the likes of 2020 Honda CBR250RR, the upcoming motorcycle from the Japanese prodigy.
