TVS Gifts 2020 Apache RR 310 to Mallu Traveller: The coronavirus pandemic has uprooted life across the world with every daily operation like travelling, socializing and so much more coming to a halt. The authorities have sealed borders across every country while the tourists have been asked to retrieve to their homelands.
Amidst all the conundrum, an Indian motorcyclist, Shakir Subhan who was on a world tour on his TVS Apache RTR 200 4V was caught in all the locking down decisions of the countries. As a result, he had to leave his dream motorcycle at his last destination and come back to India via flight from Dubai. Recognising all the hardships the motorcyclist went through, TVS Motor has officially gifted him the 2020 Apache RR 310 upon his arrival in India.
The world tour that was expected to be completed by Shakir Subhan, popularly known as Mallu Traveller, on its RTR 200 was started back in October 2019. He was in Azerbaijan when the rumours of the coronavirus pandemic started making rounds across the world. Since he has already covered his tour of Iran, where the COVID-19 has officially created havoc, Shakir was denied entry to Georgia and had to come back to India.
Once he made it to the Indian soil, all the disappointment of losing the motorcycle and stopping the world tour in between went out the window and the gesture made by the brand to offer a new motorcycle was much appreciated.
The 2020 TVS Apache RR 310 is indeed a step up when compared to the RTR 200 and appreciating the effort of the authorities, Shakir has also added a video on his Youtube channel (Mallu Traveller) of his new bike while further promising to complete his world tour from where he left off whenever the situation will be back to normal.
To jog your memory, the TVS Apache RR 310 is powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is good for 34 HP and 27.3 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is BS6-compliant.
