After months of speculation and hundreds of comments and questions, we can finally place our first production order for the All-New Ninja ZX-25R. Pricing from the factory has now been confirmed. Pre-orders are now available from your Kawasaki dealer for $15,990 + ORC with delivery scheduled for December 2020.
The new Ninja ZX-25R is a model with no modern equivalent and as such is difficult to ascertain demand. The model is designed specifically for the Indonesian and Japanese markets. Because of this, we reached out to you with our ZX-25R survey to find out whether there is a market for this unique motorcycle in the smaller New Zealand market.
The response has been overwhelming! While many would love to add the bike to your collection, most felt the indicated pricing was too high.
As the production costs of a motorcycle with 4 cylinders that share much of the same features as the larger ZX-6R and ZX-10R models are high, Kawasaki NZ as a distributor simply cannot offer the track-inspired model at Ninja 400 or Ninja 650 value as many suggested.
Due to these reasons, we felt it fair to allow our customers to have access to the exciting model by way of pre-ordering. Much the same as the Ninja H2 Carbon, H2R and other models that are not stocked in New Zealand.
The new 4-cylinder inline 4, DOHC 250cc Ninja ZX-25R is a model that has been engineered with excitement, as opposed to price, at the top of the design brief. Where engineers work towards perfection instead of work backwards from a price.
The ZX-25R carries the same ZX-6R and ZX-10R DNA to deliver on our promise to treat all 5 senses and reward the rider with precise response to offer a fun and rewarding experience.
Race-inspired features include Showa SFF Big Piston USD adjustable forks, horizontal backlink adjustable rear suspension, quick shifter, ABS, power modes, traction control, aluminium swingarm, high-tensile steel chassis developed with learnings from the Ninja H2, monobloc calliper radially mounted dual-piston front brakes, a 6-speed transmission and a visceral sounding inline 4 engine that screams to over 17,000rpm.
