Honda Forza 300 India Launch on Track: According to a recent report from ET Auto, the launch of Forza 300 maxi-scooter is on track and it will take place between September 2020 and March 2021. Speaking with Economic Times regarding the effect of Coronavirus on the 2-wheeler industry, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, HMSI Director Sales and Marketing, said: “No product launch has been put off the shelf, launches will happen as planned earlier for this financial year.”
Powering the first-ever maxi-scooter from Honda is a 279cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 24.8 bhp @ 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 27.2 Nm @ 5,750 rpm. The engine comes equipped with a CVT transmission mated to an automatic centrifugal clutch.
The brand has equipped the Honda Forza 300 with a Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) that allows the rider to regain the rear wheel traction for extra smooth handling on the roads while controlling the torque produced with the help of fuel injection. The Forza 300 gets an LED headlight set up at the front while the large windscreen is further adjustable. In addition to this, the maxi-scooter gets huge under-seat storage capable of storing two helmets at a time.
The suspension duties on the maxi scooter are handled by 33mm telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with 7-step adjustable twin shock absorbers. The braking power is offered by disc brakes at either side mated to a dual-channel ABS as standard. The scooter features 120/70-R15 front tyre and a 140/70-R14 tyre at the rear. The brand has further equipped the scooter with a smart key that offers control over the ignition, under-seat storage as well as the fuel compartment.
In terms of pricing, as per a report by Autocar, the BS6 model of Forza 300 will launch with a price tag above INR 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
