Kawasaki Z900 Recalled in India Over Faulty Tie-Rod Bracket

Kawasaki Z900 Recalled: Z900 is one of the hot selling product in the company lineup, raising eyebrows with its aggressive styling and turning eyeballs with its class leading performance. Unfortunately, the motorcycle has been listed under a recall worldwide and India is one among the affected markets.

Kawasaki has shared the details of affected bikes with every dealership in the country and replacement of the defected part would take less than an hour. The faulty tie-rod bracket around the rear shock can lead to suspension failure when a lot of pressure is exerted on the shock.

Kawasaki will even change the frame, in case they feel that the damage has already crossed the described limit. If you own a Z900 in India, calling Kawasaki dealership to know the status is the best thing that could be done this time.

Kawasaki has not stated whether the change will be free of cost or paid but almost every recall offers free services to the buyer. Z900 is an exclusive machine at its price tag of INR 7.68 lakh. No other brand offers the same value for money approach in super-biking as this good looking street fighter. It even comes with ABS as standard.

Z900 is powered by a 948 cc, inline four cylinder engine producing 125 HP at 9500 rpm and 98.6 Nm at 7700 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It weighs just 210 kg and thus, buyers can expect lightning fast sprints at all times.

Z900 is for the experienced riders as Kawasaki skips traction control and other electronic aids from the almost liter class sprinter. Seat height of 795 mm makes it exclusive for rider who are not at all comfortable with higher placed sport-bike seats. The 17 liter fuel tank makes the Z900 good for a practical range of 250 kilometers.
