Kawasaki has launched the much-awaited, locally manufactured 2018 Ninja 300 ABS in India for INR 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The reduction in the price of Ninja 300 makes it the most value for money faired motorcycle of India. Also, the same drop in price has made Kawasaki the most valuable twin-cylinder motorcycle manufacturer in India.
2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is now available in Candy Plasma Blue and Candy Lime Green shade, leaving fans stunned with the addition of components like dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle remains identical in design and size ratio, reducing the tax burden from a buyer applied on a CKD product.
2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is powered by a 296cc, twin-cylinder engine, producing 39HP at 11000 rpm and 27NM at 10000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The overall weight tips the scale at 179kg while seat height is still easily approachable at 785mm.
Ninja 300 carries a 17-liter fuel tank, helping rider claim 400+ kilometers of range in a single refill. The value is not so impressive if touring is concerned but, for city use, this can help riders avoid regular refills like other sport-bikes. Tire size for the front and rear remains 110mm and 150mm respectively.
Kawasaki is expected to bring both Z300 and Versys X-300 through the local production route to capture maximum share of buyers in performance biking. BMW recently launched the single cylinder G310R and G310GS in India at INR 2.99 lakh and INR 3.49 lakh respectively, leaving fans disappointed for choosing exclusivity over reasonable pricing.
