Made-in-India Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Launched @ INR 12.80 Lakh

The wait is over! Kawasaki has officially launched the much-awaited made-in-India version of their popular 1000cc superbike Ninja ZX-10R in India with a price tag of INR 12.80 Lakh. This makes it a whole INR 6 lakh cheaper in comparison to the CBU model! The bookings for the 2018 model are now open with a token amount of INR 3 lakh.

From the past few months, Kawasaki was offering huge discounts on the remaining stock and thus, the next batch will now arrive with ”Assembled in India” sticker. The brand has done the unimaginable by reducing the price of the superbike by INR 6 lakh, and this is what the Kawasaki fans were waiting for!

Reduction in CBU duties also brought the price of Honda CBR1000RR down to INR 14.78 lakh, and the Yamaha R1 is now available in India with a price tag of INR 18.16 lakh. Kawasaki has used the SKD route and thus, they have been able to price the bike at INR 12.80 lakh, making it the most-affordable 1000cc SuperSport bike in India.

Ninja ZX-10R is powered by a 998cc, four cylinder engine producing 200 PS at 13,000 rpm and 113.5 Nm at 11,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The machine has been used to win World Superbike Championship for last three years by their team.

It weighs just 206 kg and offers 835mm of high, track specific seat height. Riders get top spec equipment like Brembo brakes and Showa Balance Free Forks as standard on this bike. Kawasaki also launched the made-in-India ZX-10RR with an astonishing price tag of INR 16.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
