Kawasaki recently launched MY2019 Ninja 1000 in India for INR 9,99,900 (ex-showroom, pan India). Aurum Kawasaki became the first dealership of North India to deliver the same to Mr. Dushyant Chopra in Delhi. As a most reliable tourer option of its segment, Kawasaki Ninja 1000 didn’t receive any mechanical change in its recent update.
One can spot the addition of a contrasting panel on its side fairing and rest remains exactly the same as 2018 version. It is undoubtedly the most powerful option of its segment, producing nothing less than 142 PS at 10,000 rpm and 111 Nm at 7300 rpm.
This high power output comes from a 1043cc, four-cylinder engine with four 38mm injectors and liquid cooling. Kawasaki offers 19-liter fuel tank for approx 300+ kilometers of riding range in all conditions. Unlike the SuperSport options with 200PS of power and sub 200 kg weight, Ninja 1000 weighs 239 kg and offers stable highway ride with its low center of gravity. It measures 2100 mm in length, 790 mm in width and 1185 mm in height. That means you get more bulk in almost the same width that one gets on a standard everyday machine.
Kawasaki shocked everyone with their recent move of cutting the ZX-10R’s price by INR 6 lakh. Now priced at INR 12.80 lakh, it’s a clear victory of Kawasaki over rivals like Yamaha R1 and Suzuki GSX-R1000. Still, in comparison with ZX-10R, the favorite Indian tourer now feels more expensive than ever.
Those looking for a touring machine will never consider ZX-10R and thus, this gives Ninja 1000 an edge over its closest cousin. Kawasaki will soon update the remaining prices, which also includes popular products like Z1000 and Z900 RS. The range of Kawasaki Ninja sport bikes starts at INR 3.60 lakh and goes up to INR 69.8 lakh for the mighty H2R.
