2018 KTM X-Bow GT4 has been launched in the US for $183,438 (INR 1.16 Crore, estimated). The top spec, track specific variant for the ultimate sports car comes with loads of additions over the regular variants. Not just that, KTM will manufacture just 15 examples of this limited edition track hunter.
It performs exceptionally well and more than that, offers lower cost of maintenance for amateur Motorsport drivers. Like every regular car you see around, KTM X-Bow GT4 needs to be serviced at 10,000 km. Earlier, the X-Bow series had just 5,000 km service interval.
Suspension and chassis components need servicing after every 20,000 km. When seen from a proper race car point of view, KTM X-Bow GT4 demands $6 for every kilometer of car being driven. It now offers GT3 style traction control, all new Motec M142 ECU and user friendly controls than ever.
As the car weighs just 975kg, you get pure performance through a TFSI, 360+ HP and 500+ NM engine that measures just 2.0L in displacement. All this results in 265 kmph of top speed and mouth watering 3.9 second sprint from standstill to 100 kmph on the track.
2018 KTM X-Bow GT4 measures 4112 mm in length, 1933 mm in width and 1140 mm in height. It offers wheelbase of 2599 for maximum agility and track specific performance.
KTM has used an improved Holinger sequential gearbox for better shifts during higher speeds. In comparison to GT4 variant of X-Bow, the other variants are smaller in length and offer much less aerodynamic ability.
Getting even a standard KTM X-Bow can help drivers sharpen their track riding skills. The standard version comes without a roof while X-Bow GT4 uses an additional frame sourced from Dallara and components from Reiter Engineering.
