2020 KTM 200 Duke Bookings Commence in India

As per the latest buzz, some of the KTM dealerships have started accepting bookings for the 2020 KTM 200 Duke. Recently, the brand teased the upcoming bike on Instagram ahead of its launch that is expected to take place in a few days. The updated 2020 model of the Duke 200 is inspired by the 1290 Super Duke R in terms of overall design and style. It has also been officially confirmed that the BS6 Duke 200 will come equipped with a 2-channel ABS unit as standard.

The BS6 2020 KTM Duke 200 gets an aggressive and fresh design which uses a bolted subframe. The motorcycle will be available in two new colours: white/black and orange/black. The upcoming model will get an updated rear sub-frame, new split seats, new LED taillight and a new fuel tank. The instrument console of the bike remains the same all-digital console as seen on the BS4 model of the bike.

The suspension duties on the motorcycle will continue to be handled by WP upside-down telescopic forks at the front while the rear end is equipped with an adjustable WP monoshock. The 2020 KTM 200 Duke is equipped with same disc brakes at either end while the motorcycle is now upgraded with a dual-channel ABS unit as standard.

Mechanically, we have no details regarding the performance figures of the BS6-compliant Duke 200. The current-gen BS4 model of the bike is equipped with a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing 25HP of maximum power @ 10,000 rpm with 19.2Nm of peak torque @ 8,000 rpm.

The engine of the bike comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. The BS4 model of the Duke 200 is priced at INR 1.62 lakh (ex-showroom) while we can expect the updated 2020 BS6 model of the motorcycle to get a price hike of around INR 10,000 to INR 15,000.
