One of the most anticipated motorcycles from the brand, the BS6 2020 KTM Duke 390 has been officially teased on Instagram with a “Coming Soon” tag. The updated motorcycle has started reaching dealerships ahead of its official launch while the new price tag has also been revealed. The motorcycle will be available to the customers at an ex-showroom price tag of INR 2.52 lakhs, getting a premium of just INR 4,000 over its BS4 variant.
According to the recently launched teaser, the BS6 variant of the Duke 390 will be faster, snappier and swifter while the brand has equipped it with a Quickshifter+. It allows the rider to change gears without any hassle in any traffic conditions. The Quickshifter+ equipped in the motorcycle allows the rider with seamless upshifts and downshifts thereby reducing the need to use the clutch and further offering a more comfortable ride.
In addition to this, the BS6 2020 KTM Duke 390 will be available to the customers in two colour schemes namely: silver/black and white/black. The former features a matte silver paint on the tank extensions while the other body panels have been allotted a glossy black colour scheme. The white/black colour variant of the motorcycle features the same styling as that of the orange/black colour variant of the last-gen BS4 version of the motorcycle.
Both the colour variants of the updated motorcycle features revised graphics that are now far less intimidating when compared to the last-gen Duke 390. There has been no official information revealed on the power and torque figures of the updated Duke 390 though one can expect them to be tweaked a bit with the addition of a BS6-compliant engine.
The BS4 KTM Duke 390 is powered by a 373.2cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 43.5HP and a peak torque of 37Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission while being mated to a slipper clutch. One can expect the BS6 2020 KTM Duke 390 to be officially launched by the brand in the coming days.
