KTM 790 Adventure was officially unveiled along with its R variant at the EICMA 2018. The motorcycle is powered by the same 799cc, twin cylinder engine as Duke 790, producing 95 HP of maximum power. The tune is different as more power is demanded in a different band for the adventure feel. The front and rear suspension from WP offers 200mm of travel, with overall ground clearance being healthy at 233mm. The seat height is also decent for a adventure motorcycle at 850mm. KTM offers 20 liter fuel carrying capacity and a dry weight of 189 kg for the 790 Adventure. The overall range is quite healthy at 400 kilometers.
If you feel all these values are not enough for your trip, KTM 790 Adventure R is available with the same dry weight, offering additional values like 263mm of ground clearance and shocking 240mm of suspension travel. The power output remains exactly the same in both models. The R variant also uses typical off-road tires in place of the dual purpose units available on the standard variant. Both the models are available with traction control, off-road riding mode and off-road ABS feature as standard. Buyers can get their hands on optional features like quickshifter, cruise control and rally pack with any one of the adventure variant.
