An unusual report has been caught touring the internet that conveys that some of the KTM dealerships in India have started accepting unofficial pre-bookings for the upcoming 390 Adventure. It is being said that the interested buyers can reserve their bike by paying a token amount of INR 10,000 whereas the deliveries of the bike will start in January next year.
The KTM 390 adventure was recently unveiled at the EICMA 2019 organised in Milan, Italy, earlier this month. It was being said that the bike will be launched in India at the 2019 India Bike Week in the first week of December in Goa. The speculations got fueled up when the brand officially announced its participation in the event. In a recent press conference, the brand said that it will be disclosing details about the launch at the event itself.
KTM India is also offering entry passes for the event and the existing KTM owners will be given the entry passes at discounted rates as the company is giving an orange pass that can be purchased at a price tag of INR 1,600 that gives two-day access to India Bike Week (IBW) along with an exclusive KTM Fan Package worth INR 1,100.
Talking about the KTM 390 Adventure’s introduction at the Milan Motor show, the bike is the latest member to join the brand’s adventure tourer range. There has also been news that KTM has listed the 250 Adventure on the company’s Indonesian portal, which also gives hope that the brand may introduce the quarter-litre model in the Indan market as well.
The KTM 390 Adventure has been equipped with premium hardware such as adjustable suspension setup, an all-digital instrument console, switchable BOSCH ABS, ride-by-wire, and traction control. Mechanically, the 390 Adventure is powered by a 373.2 single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC engine that has been paired to a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle is capable to generate 44HP of maximum power and a peak torque of 37Nm. As far as the pricing is concerned, the 390 Adventure is expected to launch in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 3 lakh.
