KTM RC 125, the youngest race-spec motorcycle from the brand is expected to be launched in India at a price tag of INR 1.47 Lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle will go on sale in the coming days as suggested by the teaser video uploaded on KTM India’s official Instagram channel. The fully-faired sports motorcycle gets INR 17,000 higher price tag than its naked sibling Duke 125, which is available for INR 1.30 lakh. According to the reports, the buyers can pre-book their RC 125 with the KTM dealers at a token price of INR 5000, which is fully refundable.
Competing in the market with the likes of powerful Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 and Bajaj Pulsar RS200, the KTM RC 125 racing motorcycle costs INR 8000 higher when compared to its competitors. The India-spec model of the RC 125 is expected to feature the same International traits with some minor changes. The sports motorcycle is expected to be available in 2 colours: Orange with Black and White with Orange, offering the motorcycle a unique presence on the road.
Other changes for the Indian-spec variant of the RC 125 includes an underbelly exhaust which will replace the side mounted unit as seen on the International model. It will also feature a rear tyre hugger as well as a saree guard. Mechanically, the RC 125 shares its specifications with the Duke 125.
Powering the motorcycle is a 124.7cc, single cylinder liquid cooled engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 14.5 HP and an utmost torque of 12 Nm. The engine has been mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is likely to feature a single channel ABS as standard.
