KTM Motorcycles Sales Report

Sales Figures (FY 2018-19)

  • 200 Duke + RC200: 28,442 units
  • 125 Duke: 10,356 units
  • 250 Duke: 6,016 units
  • 390 Duke + RC390: 5,891 units

The brand sold a total of 50,705 units in FY 2018-19, making it the highest selling sportbike brand of India that deals exclusively in products above INR 1 lakh. The highest selling combination was KTM 200 Duke and RC 200, fetching 28,442 buyers in the entire period. The lack of ABS in these two bikes was ended once the single-channel ABS unit from the KTM 125 Duke was shared with them.

The 125 Duke was good for 10,356 units, and the 250 Duke was good for 6,016 units, while the least selling KTM model was the 390 series with 5,891 units. The huge engine size, along with segment-first features helped the 390 Duke and RC 390 win over the other similar displacement motorcycles available in the Indian market.

The 125 Duke was launched in India in November 2018, the reason why the entry-level streetfigher left behind in comparison to the 200 Duke when we take yearly sales figure into consideration. The 125cc Duke will definitely beat its 200cc sibling in the FY 2019-20 to become the best-selling KTM in India.

All KTM motorcycles are now available with ABS as standard, with Duke 250 and the 390 series getting a better dual-channel unit in comparison to the single channel ABS on the 125 Duke, 200 Duke, and the RC 200.
