Mahindra Mojo Sales Down to 0 Units (Sales Report): Mahindra Mojo registered 0 units in the month of April 2019, leaving the brand with no option other than focusing on the production process of Jawa motorcycles to compensate for the upcoming loss.
Mojo never clicked like other products around the segment, even when compared directly to the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The latter is a full-fledged adventure motorcycle that can be bought for INR 1.82 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra Mojo was placed slightly lower in comparison but, the lack of ABS became the biggest reason for its slow yet visible downfall. The ban on the sale of non-ABS bikes was the final blow to all those products which had displacement more than 125cc in India.
Mahindra Mojo was resurrected in the form of Jawa bikes as the powerful motor plugged under the retro-modern casing of the Jawa 300 and 42 is derived from the same motor as the Mojo 300. The setup is good for different outputs under different machines.
The ABS-equipped Mahindra Mojo was once spied testing in India but, it seems like the brand has cancelled the launch plans due to some reason. The zero sales figure for the entire brand also means that they are stepping out of the production line and taking care of the aftersales and service department of the Jawa motorcycles under the Classic Legends branding.
