The Mahindra XUV700 has emerged as one of the most popular SUVs in the country. The all-new XUV700 got plenty of bookings even after a price hike by the brand. However, the car deliveries have not started yet by the company though, the test drives were officially commenced starting from October 2, 2021.
Here is the incident of a brand-new Mahindra XUV700 being punched by a Hyundai Creta. This incident took place in Gujrat recently. However, the specifics of how this happened are unknown yet. There are several pictures that have surfaced online displaying the results of the accident, which are pretty shocking.
The Hyundai Creta that crashed with the new Mahindra XUV700 was the previous-gen, not the latest model. As it is clearly visible in the images, the Hyundai Creta was damaged badly from the front and the bumper and bonnet were ruined completely.
It also needs to be mentioned that the internal damage details are not available, but it seems like the radiator got affected too. On the other hand, the Mahindra XUV700 has not had any visibly damaged indications. However, the accident looks like it happened at low speed, but the Creta is ruined in such a bad way.
While being launched, the Mahindra XUV700 got plenty of criticism for having a fibre tailgate. Also, some people claim the XUV700 to be unsafe owing to this feature. Now, looking at the accident images, we can say that the XUV700 has proved itself to be a safe and valuable car for the customers.
Also, Mahindra has some cars in its lineup that get good safety ratings from the Global NCAP, such as the XUV300, which scored five stars, and the Mahindra Thar, which acquired a four-star rating. However, the XUV700 has not appeared in the GNCAP test, but we suppose it will get a high score whenever it is tested.
