Monthly Sales Report: Top 10 Best-Selling Bikes in India (Feb 2018)

Top 10 Best-Selling Bikes in India: February 2018 was a positive month for top selling Indian motorcycle brands. As most buyers skip December and get their new motorcycle delivered in January or February, the sales number of this month are usually healthy for most brands.

YoY growth is purely brand dependent as February 2018 was also a great month in terms of sales. Top 10 selling motorcycles of February 2018 includes all those that we regularly encounter on a traffic light. Buyers won’t find any new name here as these veterans have been scoring top numbers from almost last few years. The list starts with Hero Splendor (2,38,722 units).

Royal Enfield Classic 350 Rear Disc (Gunmetal Grey)

Hero HF Deluxe follows for the second place with 1,65,205 units for February 2018. As I always say, these two bikes are technically the same. Honda CB Shine (82,189 units) is the third best-selling product while Glamour follows close with 66,064 units for the fourth place.

Hero Passion (technically another glorified Splendor) sold 61,895 units and bagged fifth position in February 2018. Bajaj Pulsar, India’s very own sport bike, bagged the sixth position with 60,772 units during same period. Royal Enfield Classic 350 is now unstoppable as this INR 1.50 lakh plus machine got 48,557 buyers in February 2018.

Bajaj Recently Launched the Pulsar NS200 ABS @ INR 1.10 Lakh

Bajaj Platina is back into action with 40,409 units as it is the only 110cc bike after Hero and Honda bikes to enter this top 10 best-selling bikes list of India. TVS Apache series stood ninth with 34,008 units while Honda CB Unicorn series sold 29,223 units in February 2018.

Majority of sales still fall in the geared section as buyers prefer these for more mileage over their gear-less scooter counterparts. No such product has entered the bike market that could challenge the dominating nature of these ten products from last few years.
