Royal Enfield Himalayan Beats Hero xPulse (Sales Report): Royal Enfield Himalayan scored 1,192 units in the month of May 2019, leaving behind the famed Hero xPulse 200 by a straight difference of 166 units. The new off-road machine was good for 1,026 units, that too after having a huge price difference with the massive adventure tourer. Himalayan is using a bigger 411cc motor, almost double in size when compared to the xPulse 200.

The price difference between both the bikes is INR 75,000 for the Fi variants, leaving buyers with almost no option to switch from one to the other. The 411cc engine on the Himalayan is good for 24.5 HP and 32 Nm while the 199.5cc engine of the xPulse 200 is good for 18.4 HP and 17.1 Nm. Both the motorcycles offer a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The RE motorcycle weighs a lot more than the xPulse, making it difficult for riders with average built to manage the huge motorcycle. However, the seat height is higher on the lighter xPulse. Both the motorcycles offer 220mm of ground clearance, good enough to tackle any terrain that comes into its way. The xPulse can also be had in a carburettor-fed version along with the touring variant with alloy wheels.
