2020 BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Spotted Testing Again

BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Spotted (New Photos): The next-gen Royal Enfield Classic has been spotted once again revealing the looks of the much-awaited 350cc motorcycle. Several changes can be easily spotted just by looking at these latest spy shots of the bike.

If we take a look at the last couple of years, the RE Classic 350 has not received any significant update apart from the addition of new colour schemes. One of the biggest mechanical changes to the Classic range only came recently in the form of a rear disc brake and dual-channel ABS.

The recent spy photos reveal that the 2020 Classic 350 is equipped with front and rear disc brakes on the right-hand side, instead of on the left like the current-gen model. This change has resulted in the chain shifting over to the left from the right side. Most of the engine components look identical to the current-gen RE Classic 350, though it seems like the next-gen model will not have the option of a kick-starter.

Mechanically, the 2020 model of the Classic 350 motorcycle will come with the same 346cc engine displacement but, Royal Enfield will make the engine BS6-compliant to meet the new emission norms that will be implemented in India from April 1, 2020. The transmission casing for the motorcycle also looks new.

Well, for now, it is confirmed that the bike will be complying with the BSVI emission norms so the engine will most probably be equipped with an electronic fuel injection system. The 2020 model also gets a new exhaust system that confirms that the upcoming Classic 350 features a reworked engine and gearbox.

In the recent spy images, one can also spot a new dual-cradle frame instead of the single-down tube chassis as seen on the current-gen model. Due to this frame, the engine is mounted differently and the brand must have used new rubber mounts to reduce the vibrations. The test model of the bike is also equipped with chrome rearview mirrors and silver bar ends.

The BSVI model of the Classic 350 will surely be priced higher than the current-gen model, which is priced at INR 1.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The next-gen 350cc Classic will also be equipped with a new semi-digital instrument console, which will feature a digital fuel gauge, an analogue speedometer, a digital trip meter and odometer. The updated model is expected to mark its debut in India by the end of this year or in early 2020.
