The 2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird X has been spotted multiple times testing on the Indian roads while we now have our hands on the latest spy shots of the motorcycle which shows the upcoming cruiser in all its glory. The overall cruiser design language of the motorcycle has been kept intact by the brand though there are a host of cosmetic and mechanical updates that set it apart from the present-gen variants.
Coming to the front fascia, the motorcycle now features an all-new round LED headlight unit which is mated to conventional turn indicators at either side. The side panels of the motorcycle have also been redesigned while the rear now features an all-new round tail lamp design. The brand has further flanked the rear indicators just below the rear mudguard, mated to the number plate.
The brand has offered the motorcycle with an all-black colour scheme which offers it a premium look. The fuel tank on the 2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird X has also been redesigned and is sleeker plus longer when compared to the present-gen variant. The motorcycle has been further equipped with a split seat design which sets it apart from the present-gen Thunderbird X series. The all-new seat design seems to be well-padded for enhanced rider and pillion comfort.
The motorcycle now features a single-pod semi-digital instrument cluster which now features an LCD screen amidst the analogue speedometer. The brand has further equipped the 2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird X with an all-new retro toggle-type switchgear for the ignition as well as high/low beam.
Powering the updated motorcycle will be a BS6-compliant 346cc engine that will be equipped with a fuel injection system while one can expect it to offer optimum power and torque output. One can expect the 2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird X to carry a premium of around INR 10,000-15,000 over the current-gen Thunderbird X which is presently available in the market at a price tag of INR 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom).
