Blue-White Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Spied Ahead of Launch on Sunday

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350, a new derivative of the two-wheeler brand’s new 350cc platform, is just days away from going on sale. The retro classic motorcycle has recently been approved while the registration procedures at regional transportation authorities began earlier this month. The document also sheds light on important motorcycle specifications. As per the latest teaser videos, the Hunter 350 is all set to launch in India this Sunday (August 7, 2022).

The Hunter 350 is essentially a roadster variant of the donor model, and it will be powered by the new J-Platform, which debuted with the Meteor 350. Indeed, the registration approval document specifies the Meteor as the base model and the Hunter as a variant. This means that the majority of the components will be shared by the two.

The specs and colours of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, which will be released on August 7th, were leaked earlier today. The first Hunter units have begun to arrive at dealer yards across India. The variant shown here is most likely the top Metro Rebel variant, which will be available in dual-tone colour. The Hunter Rebel Blue colour scheme seen in these leaked photos is a dual tone of blue and white.

The motorcycle will be supported by traditional telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks with preload adjustment. Previous spy shots revealed that the Hunter 350 will be equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels. The braking system will be similar to that of the Meteor, with twin-piston 300mm front and single-piston 270mm rear disc brakes (both with floating callipers) and Dual-channel ABS.

The leaked document confirms that the Meteor’s 349 cc engine will be retained with minor changes and will be rated at 14.87 kW (20.24 hp) at 6,100 rpm. While nothing is said about the transmission, we can be certain that the 5-speed unit will be a carryover,  with minor differences in gear ratios or final drive ratio to impart a roadster-like character.

RE will be looking to strengthen its position with the Hunter 350. The Hunter’s main rival will be the newly released TVS Ronin 250. Expect the launch price to be between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1.7 lakh ex-showroom.
