BS6 Royal Enfield 650 Twins Price List Revealed: According to recent reports, the BS6-compliant Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 are expected to be launched in India soon. The price list of the BS6 variants of the 650 twins has recently surfaced online while the bookings of the motorcycles have also been commenced at select dealerships with a token amount of INR 10,000.
The brand is expected to begin deliveries of the motorcycles from the next month. The recently revealed price tags of the BS6-compliant variants are heftier by INR 9,000 when compared to the price tags of the BS4 versions.
The BS6 Interceptor 650 will be available in the market at a price tag of INR 2.65 lakhs, getting a premium of INR 9,000 in comparison to its BS4 version which is available at a price tag of INR 2.56 lakhs. In addition to this, the BS6-compliant Continental GT 650 will be available to the customers at a price tag of INR 2.80 lakhs, also getting a premium of INR 9,000 from its BS4 price tag which stands at INR 2.71 lakhs.
On the other hand, the BS6 Interceptor and Continental high-spec chrome variants will be available in the market at a price tag of INR 2.86 lakhs and INR 3.01 lakhs respectively.
Both the updated motorcycles are expected to feature similar design traits when compared to their BS4 counterparts though the power and torque values are expected to vary minimally considering that the new engine will comply to the more strict BS6 emission norms.
At present, the BS4 650 Twins are powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 47HP and a peak torque of 52Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
In their BS6 avatars, both the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 will be equipped with same telescopic forks at the front while the rear will be equipped with dual shock absorbers. The braking duties will be handled by disc brakes at either side mated to dual-channel ABS as standard.
