Royal Enfield Classic 350 Fire Incident - More Photos and Details
Recently, a shocking incident happened to Royal Enfield’s one of the most popular bikes in India, the Classic 350. A video of an explosion on a bike in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh went viral on social media platforms. One of the friends of the motorcycle owner shared the photos of the damaged motorcycle and explained the whole scenario on the Bullet Facebook page.
As per the collected information, the Gunmetal Grey Royal Enfield Classic 350 was in a parking stance when it blazed. According to the guy who posted the photos, this motorcycle was from the 2017 batch, and the reason behind this mishap might be some manufacturing defect.
But some people oppose this view as the brand offers a two-year warranty only and the incident took place after four years. But the matter of debate is that the motorcycle’s engine was off and it was parked in an idle position when the blast occurred.
On the other hand, the earlier reports suggested that the Classic 350 owner arrived at Nettikanti Hanuman temple after travelling from Mysuru. He allegedly rode his Royal Enfield motorcycle for 387 kilometres nonstop to reach the shrine.
Hence, the fire could have occurred thanks to overheating or any other possible reason, such as the fuel tank overfilling and then short-circuiting. The cause behind such an explosion could be anything, but it definitely raised the safety concerns of the buyers and the brand should look into the matter.
