Royal Enfield Cruiser 650 Spotted Undisguised: The much-anticipated 650cc Royal Enfield cruiser motorcycle has been recently spotted testing undisguised in a new set of high-resolution photos. Based on the Concept KX, which was initially showcased at the EICMA 2018 motorcycle show in Milan, the prototype model features a relaxed feet-forward riding posture, stylish alloy wheels, long wheelbase, a big fuel tank, a circular analogue-digital instrument console, and a round headlight.
Mechanically, the upcoming 650cc Royal Enfield cruiser motorcycle will be powered by the same 648cc, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine, which also powers the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. It is good for a maximum power of 46.8 HP @ 7150 rpm along with a peak torque of 52 Nm @ 5250 rpm. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper and assist clutch as standard. The brand is expected to tune the power output of the engine to suit the characteristics of a cruiser bike.
Some of the key hardware components of the upcoming RE motorcycle include the likes of upside-down (USD) front forks, a twin exhaust system, front and rear disc brakes, a dual-channel ABS unit, and the 650cc motorcycle will most probably also get Bluetooth connectivity and a turn-by-turn navigation system.
In terms of pricing, the Royal Enfield KX650 cruiser motorcycle is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 3.50 lakhs to INR 3.75 lakhs, while the official launch is expected to take place in the second half of this year.
