Srivaru Prana Electric Motorcycle to Launch in India Soon

Srivaru Prana Electric Motorcycle is Coming: Srivaru Motors, a Coimbatore based company, is a manufacturer of machinery and equipment. The company has been founded by a former engineer at Tesla Motors, Mohanraj Ramasamy.

The company is all set to launch its first product in the Indian market, which is an electric motorcycle named “Prana”. The electric two-wheeler is expected to hit the market this festive season. A calendar has been released at the company’s official website where it has been notified that the product will be retailed this year.

The mid-size motorcycle is said to be equipped with an electric motor which is capable to generate a peak torque of 35Nm. This motor is able enough to power up the 160kg motorcycle to cover a distance of 0-60kph within a time of four seconds. Srivaru Prana Electric Motorcycle to Launch in India Soon

The Prana is expected to become India’s first performance electric motorcycle if it will succeed in beating up the Ultraviolette EV. It is an electric vehicle that is expected to be in equivalence with a 300cc bike.

The former Tesla engineer emphasized on the self-healing features of the bike. From this, it can be expected that the Srivaru Prana electric motorcycle may have motor controllers and BMS systems which have the capability to self-diagnose and rectify the small issues that may occur, however, about this no official information has been given.

The upcoming bike will be equipped with four riding modes that will be teamed with a reverse mode. The Srivaru Prana is expected to be available in three variants namely the Class, Grand and Elite. The special feature offered by the Elite is that it will have a riding range equal to 250km while the Grand model will offer a range of 126km.

Prior to introducing the product, the company will properly analyse the customer reviews about the performance of the bike, its range and the price tag. The electric vehicle will enter the market in competition with products like KTM 250 Duke, and also products like Honda CB300R and the Bajaj Dominar 400.
