Suzuki recently launched the much-awaited Gixxer SF250 in India. In terms of pricing, the motorcycle is placed slightly above an average buyer’s expectations but still, the styling and design lines followed in the making helped the same claim a special status among the 250cc motorcycles of India. Here are the 5 must-know facts for the new Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.
Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is getting the advantage of a very dedicated sportbike design, with fuel tank getting the desired chiselling for the perfect street presence factor. The rear looks light while front flaunts a compact visor along with both horizontal and vertical expanding headlight. The tires are thick enough to help the motorcycle with equal lower half bulk. The exhaust comes with a familiar design from the side look but in reality, the exits are now squared.
The motorcycle is powered by a 249cc, single cylinder oil cooled SOHC engine with lightweight parts and construction. The overall output is 26.5 HP and 22.6 Nm, making the 161 kg motorcycle technically more powerful than the Honda CBR250R in terms of power-to-weight ratio. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
You think about a feature and fortunately, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 presents the same in its list. The motorcycle comes with dual-channel ABS, full LED headlight, an LED taillight, Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS), Suzuki easy start system, clip-on handlebars, and sporty front suspension setup. The front and rear tires are 110 and 150-section in width while the 6-speed gearbox offers a smooth overall riding experience.
The compact yet highly practical all-digital instrument console offers a blue backlit display with white coloured values and loads of information. The speedometer, gear indicator, fuel gauge, tachometer, and digital clock are easy to read and good for even bright daylight conditions.
The price tag of INR 1.71 lakh for the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 confirms that the brand took both Yamaha Fazer (INR 1.43 lakh) and Honda CBR250R (INR 1.95 lakh) into consideration. The former is very lightweight and restricted in terms of power while the latter commands a higher specification in terms of engine. Suzuki balanced the same with their product placement.
