According to recent reports, the last batch of the BS4 Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R sports bike has been sold out in the Indian markets. The brand launched the updated version of the sports machine back in December 2019. Since the motorcycle has been sold out across all the dealerships in the Indian market, it officially marks the end of the era for the present-gen Hayabusa which was available in a BS4 avatar.
The brand has officially decided to discontinue the mighty machine in India since the motorcycle doesn’t abide with the BS6 emission norms that will be valid across India from April 1, 2020. In addition to this, some reports also suggest that the brand is expected to introduce the BS6-compliant Suzuki Hayabusa in 2021 that will feature an all-new design language and a more powerful 1400cc engine, though the brand has not confirmed anything on that matter as of yet. The BS4 model of the Hayabusa was available with a price tag of INR 13.74 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The Suzuki Hayabusa was one of the most cherished motorcycles under the brand’s portfolio that was able to hit the 312kmph mark with its 1340cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The engine is capable of offering maximum power of 200HP @ 9500 rpm and a peak torque of 155Nm @ 7200 rpm.
