The updated 250cc Suzuki Gixxer series was officially unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 in February this year. As the Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250 were developed with the upcoming BS6 norms in mind and now with the addition of a new exhaust system and an ECU, Suzuki has updated its 250cc bikes to comply with the upcoming emission norms.

The power figure for both the bikes remain similar to the outgoing BS4 models while the torque has dropped by 0.4Nm. The BS6 Suzuki Gixxer 250 series is capable of churning out 26.5HP of maximum power at 9300 rpm along with 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7300 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of availability, both the bikes will go on sale in the coming days while the deliveries are expected to commence next month.

In terms of looks, the BS6 models are exactly the same when compared to the BS4 models. The all-digital instrument console also remains similar. The suspension duties of the bikes are performed by telescopic forks at front along with a monoshock at the rear. The braking performance is handled by disc brakes at both ends. Like the BS4 models, the updated BS6 models are also equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit as standard.
