The next-gen model of the mighty Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R has been in the news ever since the brand disclosed its plan to unveil one. The recent rumours suggested the motorcycle to be updated with a host of new features and a more powerful engine though the brand has only introduced two new colour schemes for the MY2020 of the Hayabusa. The rest of the mechanical and cosmetic bits have been retained by the brand. It seems like Suzuki will launch the all-new model of Hayabusa in 2021.
The customers can now avail the motorcycle in two new colours namely ‘Candy Daring Red’ and ‘Metallic Thunder Gray’. The new colour schemes of the motorcycle are not only limited to the body panels but also the alloy wheels. Both the new colour variants have been listed on the Suzuki’s US website though the Indian website will be updated with new colour schemes shortly.
Retaining the same authentic design language, the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R is powered by the same 1340cc, inline-four-cylinder engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 200HP at 9500 rpm and a peak torque of 155 Nm at 7200 rpm. In addition to this, the brand has also retained the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) for the 2020 variant that allows the rider to select any of the three engine maps available with the motorcycle, all offering different riding specifics.
The brand is expected to launch the mighty Hayabusa with new colour schemes in India by the end of this year. The reports also suggest that Suzuki might unveil the prototype model of the 2021 variant of Hayabusa at EICMA 2019, which will further get more powerful engine specs as well as other updates.
