Suzuki to Launch New Bike in India on October 7, 2020

In one of the latest updates, Suzuki is all set to launch a new bike in the Indian markets on October 7, 2020. The brand has officially released a teaser image which says – “Introducing A Superior Way to Ride”. The new bike will be launched in India on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 11:00 AM. Apart from these details, nothing has been revealed about the new bike. According to us, at present, there are two expected Suzuki bikes for India – Intruder 250 and the BS6-compliant model of V-Strom 650 XT.

In fact, the BS6 V-Strom 650 XT is also listed on the brand’s official website from the past few weeks and most probably, Suzuki is going to launch it on the said date. But on analysing the teaser image closely, one can spot an all-digital instrument console, like the one equipped on the Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250. As V-Strom 650 features an analogue-digital console in a different shape. So, the upcoming bike could be the much-talked-about Intruder 250 cruiser motorcycle.

India-Bound Suzuki Intruder 250 Patent Images Leaked

The rumours of Suzuki working on a 250cc Intruder started surfacing online back in May 2019. Recently, the patent images highlighting the exhaust system of Suzuki Intruder 250 also got leaked. In terms of the design of the exhaust system, unlike the Intruder 150’s sharp and edgy looks, the 250cc model’s muffler features a cleaner and much simpler design to enhance the overall outlook of the upcoming motorcycle.

Technically, the upcoming 250cc cruiser motorcycle will be powered by the Gixxer 250’s BS6-compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is good for a maximum power of 26.5 HP @ 9300 rpm along with a peak torque of 22.2 Nm @ 7300 rpm. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission.
