The top 10 best-selling bikes in May followed the same trend as the other months of 2019, leaving the commuter-specific bikes on the top of the sales chart with exceptions like Bajaj Pulsar and TVS Apache. The Hero Splendor series was good for 2,67,450 units last month while HF Deluxe followed next with 1,83,255 units.
The top selling slots are not just limited to Hero and Honda bikes anymore as soon after Honda CB Shine (92,069 units), Bajaj Pulsar enters the list with 86,145 units. Hero Passion is the next bestseller with 69,663 units, closely followed by Hero Glamour with 69,379 units. Bajaj Platina is good for 59,938 units while TVS Apache got the eighth position with 41,398 units. Bajaj CT100 got the next position with 38,709 units while Classic 350 registered a huge downfall and was good for 35,998 units in May 2019.
Bajaj Auto has successfully improved its overall sales with CT100 and Platina as earlier, only the Pulsar series was considered the most popular option in the company’s sales chart. Honda is seen struggling in the motorcycle segment as only CB Shine registered a huge sales number and other motorcycles by the brand were not good enough to enter the top 10 best-selling bikes list in May 2019.
Royal Enfield is facing tough times as the Classic 350 has dropped to the 10th position on this list. TVS Apache RTR series rivals Bajaj Pulsar and therefore, both the sport machines have no other competitor on the list of top-selling bikes in India.
