TVS Apache RTR 200 is undoubtedly one of the most appealing motorcycle in its segment. It falls right above the 150 cc street fighters while carrying an engine that is effective far better than those around the segment. According to a recent report by Rushlane, the Fi and ABS variants of Apache RTR 200 have started arriving at the dealerships for training purpose. TVS recently announced that it would still take some more time for the introduction of Fuel Injection (FI) and ABS. They claim the production constraint to be the only reason for this heart melting delay.

The launch is expected to happen within next 2 months while the on-sale model includes carburetor fed version and optional Pirelli tyres for extra INR 5000. TVS Apache RTR 200 is current prices at INR 89,215 for the base variant while Pirelli version can be had for INR 94,215. The prices used here are ex-showroom Delhi. Apache 200 is in high demand in the export market as it provides the right performance with all mandatory equipment.
TVS Apache RTR 200 is powered by a 197.75cc, single cylinder oil cooled engine that is good for 20.23 Bhp at 8500 rpm and 18.1 Nm at 7000 rpm on the Indian spec model. Everything except the throttle response and slight increase of 0.5 PS in power remains same in the fuel injected model. TVS will offer ABS and Pirelli tyres as an option while carburetor fed and fuel injected models would have a considerable price difference.
The motorcycle is BS3 compliant in its Indian version and soon would be updated to meet the BS4 norms applicable from April 2017. Every new or old motorcycle will need to be BS4 compliant to get registered from the given deadline. TVS is expected to price the top spec Apache RTR 200 with FI and ABS at INR 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Even after carrying this price tag, it would be the most value for money motorcycle in its segment.
