The BS6 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Apache RTR 200 4V were launched in India back in November 2019. As per the official website of the brand, both the bikes have got their first price hike as the RTR 160 4V now starts at INR 1.01 lakh while the RTR 200 4V now retails for INR 1.25 lakh. In comparison to the launch price, both the models have a got a price hike of INR 1,000. Here is the updated variant-wise price list of the BS6 TVS Apache RTR 4V series:
Mechanically, the RTR 160 4V continues to be powered by the same 159.7cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve engine, which now generates a maximum power of 16.02HP and a peak torque of 14.12Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In comparison to the BS4 model, there is a drop in power and torque figures of the BS6 model by 0.78HP and 0.68Nm respectively.
The 2020 models of the TVS Apache RTR 4V series feature a redesigned front-end with the addition of new sporty graphics on the side panels. The bikes also get an all-new LED headlight setup.
Mechanically, the BS6 model of the RTR 200 4V gets the same 197.75cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates 20.5HP of maximum power and a reduced torque figure of 16.8Nm. The BS4 model of the bike was able to produce a peak torque of 18.1Nm. In terms of safety, the RTR 160 4V is equipped with 1-channel ABS whereas the RTR 200 4V comes with 2-channel ABS as standard.
