TVS Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 has been launched in India for INR 95,185 (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle now comes with slipper clutch, windscreen and all-new race inspired graphics as standard.
TVS recently launched the Apache RR310 for INR 2.15 lakh and after that, this comes as an equally important update for buyers of 200cc segment. They have even announced a new motorcycle launch for March 14, 2018.
It can be the 2018 model of Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180 as they do not have any other pending motorcycle in the pipeline. Also, TVS NTorq 125 was also launched few weeks back.
RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 is the first of its segment bike to bring slipper clutch into action. The system offers 22% force reduction during upshifts while downshifts during critical conditions will now even become easier. TVS explains that this will help riders get better lap times when they take their Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0 on a track.
Above mentioned prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
Apache RTR 200 is powered by a 197.75cc, single cylinder engine producing 20.23 BHP and 18.1 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Fuel injected variant for RTR 200 Race Edition is priced at INR 1,07,885 while the model with dual channel ABS comes at INR 1,08,985.
Both Fi and ABS are individual models and both ABS+Fi cannot be had in a single variant. Apache RTR 200 rivals Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in this segment while indirect competition also arrives from Yamaha FZ25.
