TVS Apache RTR 310 India Launch Later This Year: According to recent reports, the next TVS-BMW motorcycle is expected to grace the world by the end of this year. Rumoured to launch as TVS Apache RTR 310, the upcoming motorcycle is expected to feature a streetfighter design language like the rest of the RTR series bikes.
Coming to the powertrain, one can expect the RTR 310 to feature an Apache RR 310-inspired 312.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that has been already upgraded to meet the BS6 emission norms. The engine is capable of offering maximum power of 34HP and a peak torque of 27.3Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a race-tuned slipper clutch.
Since the TVS Apache RR 310 can be operated in four riding modes namely Rain, Urban, Sport and Track, one can expect the brand to offer similar features to the upcoming Apache RTR 310.
The upcoming motorcycle variant is further expected to borrow a similar trellis frame from the RR 310 while the suspension duties will be handled by the USD forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear. The disc brake setup at either side is expected to be mated to a dual-channel ABS unit as standard.
To further offer a better grip on the upcoming motorcycle, the brand is expected to offer the RTR 310 with similar Michelin Road 5 tyres as offered to the RR 310. The streetfighter frame of the motorcycle is expected to be enhanced with the use of forward-set footpegs in addition to a flat seat setup as well as a taller handlebar unit.
One can also expect the TVS Apache RTR 310 to be equipped with an all-new TFT coloured screen with Bluetooth connectivity. The instrument panel will further offer apt riding statistics. The upcoming motorcycle is expected to be priced in India around INR 2.00 lakh to INR 2.10 lakh and will compete in the markets with the likes of KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310R, Honda CB300R and Benelli TNT 300.
