In addition to the standard variants, the American brand is also offering a Sport version of the Endeavour in the Indian markets with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 35.45 lakhs.
The MY2021 Ford Endeavour is powered by a 2.0-litre EcoBlue turbo-diesel engine that is BS6-compliant and is capable of churning out a maximum power of 170HP and a peak torque of 420Nm. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission which is a first for India.
The power and torque values of the updated SUV though doesn’t coincide with the ones offered by the last-gen 3.2-litre Duratorq diesel engine, they are still close to the 160HP and 385Nm offered by the 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine equipped on the BS4 variant of the SUV.
In addition to this, the ARAI-claimed mileage of the updated Ford Endeavour has also been improved. The SUV is now capable of offering 13.9kpl of mileage from its 4×2 version while the 4×4 version of the engine is good for 12.4kpl. Both the updated mileage figures have witnessed a gradual increase considering the ones offered by the BS4 versions.
Coming to the cosmetic changes, in comparison to the BS4 version, the new Endeavour variant has been equipped with a redesigned headlight set up at the front while the engine specification written on the front fender is now replaced with only the “Endeavour” moniker on top. In addition to this, the SUV is now updated with a FordPass connected car application that allows the user with additional 55 features such as turning the AC on/off, remote start, vehicle location and more.
In terms of the redesigned interiors, the updated SUV features almost identical styling when compared to the last-gen version though the brand has revised the gear lever. The SUV continues to feature the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system while the top-end variants have been equipped with premium features that include the likes of 7 airbags as standard, parallel park assist, rear and front parking sensors and more.
