TVS Apache RTR 310, as the company seems to name the Akula 310, will be launched in July 2017 in India. The concept version carried a fully faired carbon fiber body design. The launch date is yet to be officially revealed. RTR 310 will be the first ever fully faired product in the company lineup and even would be the first to break the 200 cc barrier. It is built on the same platform as BMW G310R and sourced most parts from local vendors.
TVS Apache RTR 310 is based on the Akula 310 Concept
The price for Apache RTR 310 is expected to fall between INR 1.60-1.75 lakh. This is because of its direct competition to Dominar 400, which was priced from INR 1.36 lakh. Unlike the Dominar that offers two variants, TVS is expected to bring a single variant with features like dual channel ABS and LED lights as standard. TVS Apache RTR 310 will use the powerful 313 cc, single cylinder counter balanced engine that seems highly refined.

The engine is good for 33.6 BHP at 9500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7500 rpm on the BMW G310R. TVS may tune it according to the need of RTR series while being fully faired will improve its top speed with better aerodynamics. Apache RTR 310 may claim a top speed above 145 kmph while secondary rivals for the same includes KTM 390 Duke. It may even be compared with twin cylinder Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles due to the same engine segment.
