Lamborghini Huracan Performante Launched in India @ INR 3.97 crore

Lamborghini Huracan Performante has been officially launched in India for INR 3.97 Crore (ex-showroom). It made its first public appearance at 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It is well known for breaking the Nurburgring’s production car lap record as it took full 5 seconds less than the Porsche 918 Spyder to perform the same. It’s record time is 6 min 52 seconds and was driven by Lamborghini test driver Marco Mapelli. It is certainly the most powerful Huracan in the Lamborghini lineup internationally.

Huracan Performante is powered by the same 5.2 liter, V10 motor producing 640 HP and 600 Nm of torque. The engine gets 30 HP and 40 Nm more than the standard Huracan. They have even tweaked the seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission and offer Haldex all time four wheel drive as standard. Lamborghini uses 20 inch alloy wheels on the Performante and claims 0-100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed is well over 325 kmph while tyres used are specially developed Pirelli P Zero Corsa.

These extraordinary values are achieved by removing few components and replacing them with carbon fiber units, lowering the overall weight of the car by around 40 kg. The other noticeable differences on the car includes carbon fiber wing that helps in generating 750 percent more downforce and bronze engine manifold cover. The aerodynamic design and component addition has made the car more capable on high speed cornering, helping the driver take turns at higher speeds and break the Nurburgring record.
