TVS recently issued a circular to all of its dealers in order to convert the BS3 compliant vehicles to BS4 through certain changes. In fact, TVS was the first brand to clear the losses that occurred during the two days of flash sale on March 30 and 31. Even after all this, considerable amount of vehicles are left unsold in the dealer stockyards and they need to move them out in order to save themselves for the silent loss. TVS is actually trying its best to keep the dealers happy.
TVS Motor Issues Circular to its Dealers | Offers Low-Cost BS4 Upgrade
They will not charge anything to the dealer for the conversion of older engines to BS4 compliant units except a processing fee of INR 2,000. This will include taking back the existing stock, making the required changes and sending the vehicles back to the dealership. Not just that, they even plan to export some of the stock while only those vehicles will be recalled that are produced after April 2016.

The circular noted that “Despite best efforts, some of the dealers had reported that there were a few BS III vehicles left over with them. Based on the [old] BS III stock details shared by you (the dealer), we will be taking back all the BS III vehicles which are produced on or after April 2016. Once these vehicles are converted to BS IV, the same vehicles that are taken back will be supplied to your dealership.”
