The much-talked-about Ultraviolette F77 electric bike was officially unveiled back on November 13, 2019, and the deliveries were said to commence in October this year. But as per the latest details available, the electric motorcycle will now go on sale in early 2021.
Niraj Rajmohan, the Founder and CTO of Ultraviolette Automotive, recently announced that the company has got an overwhelming response for the F77, and they have spent the last few months working on the looks and technical improvements of the upcoming bike.
In terms of pricing, the Ultraviolette F77 has been priced between INR 3 lakh to INR 3.25 lakh (on-road). It will be available in three variants – Airstrike, Shadow, and Laser. The registrations/pre-bookings for the bike are already open.
Mechanically, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle comes powered with an air-cooled permanent magnet AC motor that produces 33.5HP of maximum power at 2250 rpm and an impressive peak torque of 90Nm/450Nm (Motor/Wheel) and. According to the brand’s official website, the F77 reaches from 0-60kph in only 2.9 seconds, 0-100kph in 7.2 seconds and it has a top speed of 147kph. There are three power modes in the bike – Eco, Sport, and Insane.
The electric motorcycle gets its power from a battery with a maximum capacity of 4.2kWh. It uses three slim lithium-ion battery packs and the whole unit takes 5 hours to charge fully via the standard charger. However, through the fast charger, it can be done only in 1.5 hours. Once fully charged, the bike has a company-claimed range of 130-150km. Ultraviolette Automotive has revealed that the F77 doesn’t require all three battery packs to run but, it performs best with all of them in use.
Coming to the hardware components of the bike, it uses a steel trellis frame with an aluminium head that is suspended on USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear end. The braking duties of the bike are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc with a dual-channel ABS unit.
The Ultraviolette F77 rides on a 110/70-R17 front tyre and a 150/60-R17 rear tyre. The bike has a kerb weight of 158kg. The electric motorcycle gets a TFT display as standard which can be connected to an app that provides you with an ample amount of information and also allows for the customization. The e-bike will also get accessories like crash guards, a portable fast charger, panniers, and a different visor.
