The recently unveiled 2020 Yamaha YZF-R1 GYTR has been making the rounds in the news for its splendid design. The GYTR performance products were initially launched by Yamaha as a part of ‘YEC Racing Parts’ programme 15 years ago.
The GYTR performance products include a wide range of racing parts that are specifically for track use only while allows the riders with full access to the factory bike technology. The brand recently showcased several performance-spec products based on motorcycles like YZF-R1, YZF-R6, and the YZF-R3.
The brand has equipped 2020 Yamaha YZF-R1 GYTR with a host of new features including the race wire harness set in addition to offering ECU, CCU and quick throttle controls. The updated variant of the motorcycle features a fully-adjustable steering damper that further offers more control when turning left or right.
Apart from this, the brand has also equipped the motorcycle with high-performance Ohlins FGRT 219 front forks while the rear features Ohlins TTX36 GP monoshock suspension. The use of Bridgestone tires and Brembo brakes further adds to the authenticity of the motorcycle. The use of carbon fibre fairing and the full titanium Akrapovic Evolution 2 exhaust system remains identical with the 2019 variant of the YZF-R1 GYTR.
The brand has now offered the 2020 Yamaha YZF-R1 GYTR with a combination of black and blue livery while the wheel axles and the crankcases have been equipped with Gilles tooling protectors.
Coming to the mechanical bits, the motorcycle continues to be powered by 998cc, four-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 200HP @ 13,500 rpm and a peak torque of 112.4Nm @ 11,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The brand has not yet revealed the price tag of 2020 Yamaha YZF-R1 GYTR as of yet though one can expect the motorcycle to get a slightly higher price tag that the 2019 variant which is priced at 39,400 Euros (INR 31.25 lakh approx).
