2020 Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 Deliveries Begin in India

The bookings for the BS6 2020 Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 commenced recently while as per the latest buzz, some of the Yamaha dealerships have also started delivering the new model of the sportbike. Recently launched at a starting price tag of INR 1,45,300 (ex-showroom), the motorcycle has been equipped with a BS6-compliant engine in addition to getting various other cosmetic and mechanical changes.

Coming to the updated sports machine, the brand has equipped the motorcycle with an all-new side stand engine cut-off switch in addition to offering a dual horn setup. The customers can now avail the Yamaha R15 V3 in three updated colour variants namely Thunder Grey, Darknight and Racing Blue.

The 2020 variant of the most cherished sports motorcycle from the brand carries a premium of INR 4000 to INR 5000 when compared to its BS4 variant. It is the third motorcycle from the brand that has been updated with BS6 emission norms and joins the list of Yamaha FZ and FZS BS6 variants.

Powering the updated Yamaha R15 V3 is a BS6-compliant 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is now capable to generate a maximum power of 18.6HP and a peak torque of 14.1Nm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed transmission. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at either side mated to dual-channel ABS as standard. The 2020 Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 features telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with a monoshock absorber.
