Yamaha has recently released the official TV commercial of their BS6-compliant MT-15 in India. The official video focuses on emphasizing some of the key features of the bike. It reveals the Bi-Functional LED headlight and LED position light along with the raised LED tail light. The BS6 2020 Yamaha MT-15 also comes featured with a side-stand engine cut-off switch. The TVC also highlights the 140mm super-wide radial rear tyre in addition to the updated negative LCD instrument cluster with a gear shift indicator.

Technically, the Yamaha MT-15 is now powered by a BS6-compliant 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces a maximum power of 18.5 HP @ 10,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 13.9 Nm @ 8500 rpm. There is a drop in the performance figures of the bike as the BS4 model was able to produce 19.3 HP of maximum power with 14.7 Nm of peak torque. The engine continues to be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The suspension duties on the bike are performed by telescopic forks at the front with a monoshock unit at the rear. The BS6 model continues to feature the same disc brakes at either end with single-channel ABS as standard. The weight of the bike is only 138kgs.
Along with the BS6-engine, the 2020 model of the Yamaha MT-15 has also got a new paint option which is “Ice Fluo Vermillion”. It is priced at INR 1,39,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is INR 1,000 higher in comparison to the ex-showroom price tag of the other variants. The new paint scheme features a multi-tone finish of black, light grey metallic, and orange.
The updated version of the Yamaha MT-15 costs approximately INR 2900 more than its BS4 variant which was available at INR 1.36 lakhs. Here is the colour-wise price list for the BS6 MT-15:
