After increasing the price of the street bike back in May and September last year, Yamaha Motor India recently hiked the price of the 155cc streetfighter once again, this time by INR 1,000.

The BS6-compliant MT-15 is now available with a starting price tag of INR 1.41 lakhs for the standard shades while the Ice Fluo edition is available for INR 1.42 lakhs. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom India.

Coming to the major changes imparted to the updated motorcycle, the BS6-compliant 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine is now capable of offering maximum power of 18.5HP @ 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9Nm @ 8,500 rpm.

Both the power and torque figures of the updated engine are now 0.8HP and 0.8Nm down respectively when compared to the 19.3HP of power and 14.7Nm of torque offered by the BS4 version. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed transmission. Here is a detailed walkaround video by MRD Vlogs:

Coming to the other feature updates, the motorcycle has been equipped with a side-stand engine cut-off switch which prevents the rider from starting the motorcycle if the side stand is down. This imparts the updated sports machine with additional safety.

The brand has retained both the “Dark Matt Blue” and “Metallic Black” colour variants of the motorcycle while the BS6 Yamaha MT-15 will now be available to the customers in an all-new ‘Ice Fluo Vermillion’ colour which features overall white body panels with orange alloy wheels setup.
