India-Spec Yamaha MT-15 Spotted Undisguised in Mumbai

India-Spec Yamaha MT-15 Spotted Undisguised in Mumbai

India-spec Yamaha MT-15 has been spotted undisguised in the production-ready shade in Mumbai. The motorcycle features Dark Matt Blue shade that is shared with FZ25 and FZS V3 in the street motorcycle section. The use of conventional telescopic forks and a different swingarm than the international version has reduced the aggressive visual feel of the motorcycle.

However, the switch from the colour-coded alloy wheels to black ones has also resulted in this sober feel. The front fascia comes with black projector casing and headlight section, matching to the black fenders seen at both the ends. The motorcycle comes with exactly similar body panels like the Indonesian version.

India-spec Yamaha MT-15 will feature the same 155.1cc, single-cylinder engine as the R15 V3. The output will stay the same at 19.3 HP and 14.7 Nm. This makes the fact sure that the motorcycle will be the most powerful option available in its segment and leave all the 150cc streetfighters behind by a considerable margin.

The launch of MT-15 will take place on March 15 and expected price falls around INR 1.20-1.25 lakh, most probably staying on the lower side of the spectrum. Yamaha dealerships have started accepting bookings for the streetfighter and the details regarding the colour options will be available on March 15.
